Students engaged in advanced engineering and robotics work

TOOTCAP INITIATIVE

PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION TO BUILD WHAT'S NEXT.

Tootcap Initiative introduces young people to robotics, artificial intelligence, engineering, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, future infrastructure, and other technologies shaping the decades ahead.

Our goal is not simply to teach students how technology works.

We want them to begin asking: What should exist next, and how could we build it?

THE FUTURE SHOULD NOT ONLY BE SOMETHING STUDENTS EXPERIENCE.

IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING THEY HELP CREATE.

Emerging technologies are transforming transportation, manufacturing, communication, infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and exploration.

Tootcap Initiative gives students earlier exposure to the thinking, disciplines, and opportunities behind those systems.

WHAT STUDENTS EXPERIENCE

FROM EXPOSURE TO PARTICIPATION.

01DISCOVERExplore robotics, AI, aerospace, manufacturing, infrastructure, and other future technologies.
02QUESTIONLearn to ask how systems work, why they exist, and how they might be improved.
03DESIGNDevelop ideas and solutions through research, systems thinking, engineering design, and teamwork.
04BUILDCreate models, experiments, prototypes, demonstrations, or technical concepts.
05PRESENTCommunicate ideas to peers, educators, engineers, researchers, and industry leaders.

CORE PROGRAMS

HOW STUDENTS ENGAGE.

01FUTURE TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPSHands-on and discussion-based introductions to advanced technology and engineering fields.
02ENGINEERING DESIGN CHALLENGESTeam-based challenges focused on solving real-world or future-focused problems.
03ROBOTICS & AI EXPERIENCESPractical exposure to intelligent machines, sensors, automation, programming, and autonomous systems.
04TOOTCAP FUTURESSymposiums, demonstrations, speakers, competitions, and student presentations focused on the technologies shaping the future.

The strongest student experiences happen when education, engineering, and industry meet.

THE TOOTCAP BLUEPRINT

THE DEVELOPMENT MODEL BEHIND THE INITIATIVE.

Every Tootcap program is built around a five-stage progression designed to move students from first exposure to real technical capability.

01INSPIREExpose students to ambitious technologies, ideas, and possibilities.
02EDUCATEBuild foundational understanding of engineering, science, and emerging technology.
03DESIGNChallenge students to solve meaningful problems through research, systems thinking, and creative engineering.
04BUILDTurn ideas into experiments, models, prototypes, and real technical work.
05ADVANCEMove exceptional ideas and talent toward deeper research, industry exposure, and future technology development.

We are not only preparing students for the future. We are preparing them to help build it.

SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP

BRING THE FUTURE INTO THE CLASSROOM.

Tootcap can work with schools and districts to develop experiences around grade level, curriculum priorities, available facilities, student interests, and local goals.

01One-Day Experiences
02Multi-Week Programs
03Design Challenges
04School Symposiums
05District-Wide Programs
